Your data & access
You choose who gets access.
Approving a connection gives that assistant all the capabilities listed below for your account.
What your assistant can read
It can check the connection, identify your connected MuscleLab profile, and read your completed workout history and templates, plus the muscle and exercise catalogs.
What your assistant can change
It can create, edit, and delete your templates. Ask for changes in the chat. MuscleLab does not ask you to approve each change again in the app.
How to disconnect
Open Profile → MCP connections in MuscleLab and revoke access for that assistant. Other connections keep working.
Revoking access stops new requests. Data already shared in a conversation remains subject to your assistant’s data policies.
A few useful details.
Do I need to know what MCP is?
MCP is the connection that lets your assistant work with MuscleLab. Follow the steps above: add the server address and approve access in the app. No need to copy a password or token into a chat.
Is there a new AI chat inside MuscleLab?
The conversation happens in your external assistant. MuscleLab provides your training data and saves templates. You keep logging your workouts in the app as usual.
Will it save sets, reps, and target weights?
Templates save the exercise list, its order, supersets, and circuits. Planned sets, reps, weights, and the assistant’s explanations stay in your conversation.
What if the connection fails or expires?
Check your internet connection and make sure you are signed in to MuscleLab with a completed profile. If you had to sign in, open the app link again. If the request expired, start the connection again from your assistant. Keep the original browser window open until it finishes.
Why does the app offer to restore a connection?
You have already approved this connection. Check your account and the matching code, then confirm the restore in MuscleLab. Restoring only completes sign-in. If the assistant still has no access, revoke its connection in Profile → MCP connections and connect again.
Can my assistant change past workouts or see photos?
This connection covers completed workout history, catalogs, and templates. It cannot edit or delete past workouts, view progress photos or body measurements, or access another person’s training data.
